A Day Off

I bought a new telly last week. I’d been looking at this Sony Bravia 3 since our last telly died after 4ish years of service. For the price we paid, it’s a shame it didn’t give us 5-10 years of use, but looking back all my TVs, LCD/LED/CRT  have lasted 4-5 years before going kaput. So I got this Sony as it was the cheapest Sony they had in the size I need, and if it lasts 4 years then so be it. Maybe I was stupid to buy the product protection, but with the discount on the telly (compared to what I’ve seen in the past few months) it was like a freebie. Extends the warranty to 5 years. If the telly lasts more than 5 years, then so be it. Saves me from buying a new one in the meantime after the 1 year warranty expires.

The best part is the old remote still works. I like that. Icna have the channel numbers on the remote, and not have to press up up up up up up up up up up to change to the channel I want. The new remote isa still in the wrapper, maybe I can sell it?

I think theres two weeks to go until we’ve reached the half way mark of being away from Misa-chan. I’m missing her like crazy. Chatting over iMessage and Line and video calls is good, but not being physically here is not so good. But time is flying and soon she’ll be home.

I went to the beach last week. I never normally go. I was recording some video that I could put on YouTube, but then thought about it. Nobody wants to see and hear someone drinking whisky on the beach talking about rubbish. So I’ve scratched that idea and have plans to do something else that’s local, that’s sober and interesting/entertaining. The weather has been terrible since I went to the beach, so I can’t do anything today. The rain is on and off, it’s grey and dull.

So I’ll just rest today, my day off, and relax. Maybe this back pain will go away? Fingers crossed.
